Jigsaw Letting Selby

R. Jinks

I have been in the Rental Property Market for approximately 20 years, I have used various letting agents and also managed the letting of my properties myself. However, with new regulations coming into force and a change in tenants attitude, it was becoming difficult to keep on top of the new regulations and satisfy the tenants need's

About 4 years ago, I was having a difficult time with a tenant, no matter what I did to appease them they were never satisfied. I noticed a new company advertising property rental services in the local press, they called themselves Jigsaw Letting. I rang them and spoke to their managing director, Sandra Widdrington, I made an appointment to see her and we discussed my situation. From our first meeting I was very impressed be her cool, calm, professional manner in which she listened to my problem, then she carefully advised me, what she thought I should do, after discussing other management problems, I was very impressed by her mannerism. I had been looking for someone like this for years who is honest and reliable, who I can trust to overcome the difficulties you experience in rental accommodation. I am pleased to say my property is now managed by Jigsaw Letting who give me a first class service. If there is a problem Jigsaw Letting contact me ASAP and if at all possible, the problem will be sorted within 48 hours. I would also like to add, I believe Sandra Widdrington to be a very diplomatic business person and one of the highest qualified, female Rental Agents in Selby!

Her supporting staff, are also very good, they share the same diplomacy, with that high powered drive, it is a pleasure to go into their office, everyone is courteous and polite, the business is well organised and very professional and their rates are very competitive. It must be very difficult for Jigsaw Letting to maintain such a high standard of professional relationship between Landlord's and their clients, but they do. Up to date they have always acquired good tenants for my properties.

To summarise my situation, I have been with Jigsaw Letting for nearly 4 years and in my opinion it is the best move I have ever made. I admire their professionalism, diplomacy and their efficiency, they run their business, as a business should be, efficient and well organised. Everyone working together, for that ultimate aim, to satisfy the customer, which in my case they have succeeded. I can sit back and relax knowing full well, my property is in good hands, I have every confidence in Mrs Widdrington and her staff, in the way the business is organised. I wish to offer my sincere thanks to Jigsaw Letting, for the professional manner in which they have assisted and guided me through the maze of rules and regulations relating to Rental Property Market.

I have a large and diverse property portfolio mainly in the Selby and District area. I also built 24 apartments in Selby called Abbey Wharfe. I decided to keep eighteen of the properties and let them out as a long term investment as I still believe that the property investment market in Selby will prove to be very profitable.

Since completing the development in September 2006, I have used Jigsaw Letting to manage my Selby portfolio. They have always provided accurate information regarding the local investment market.

Jigsaw Letting have always been very professional, honest and helpful with all aspects of letting my properties. They have constantly had a database of good quality tenants. Besides finding new tenants they also manage my portfolio. If there has been a problem with a tenant, they have dealt with it quickly and efficiently.

I would certainly recommend Jigsaw Letting to any new or existing landlords.

In regard to the local property market, as everyone is aware there is a shortage of housing throughout the country. The main house builders have almost stopped building new property due to the credit crunch. This is only going to make the general shortage of good quality homes even worse.

The population of the country is constantly growing, we are generally living longer, and more people are choosing to live by them selves. People will still have to live somewhere! So the pure supply and demand laws of business means that whilst property price may fall in the short term, in both the medium and long term they will continue to increase. I also think that more people will rent meaning that rents will start to increase.

Finally, individual landlords are not buying or selling their portfolios this may mean a shortage of quality rental properties, once again increasing rents.
