SANDRA WIDDRINGTON FROM SELBY IS CROWNED NLA YORKSHIRE AND THE HUMBER PROPERTY WOMAN 2010
The National Landlords Association (NLA) is pleased to announce that due to a flourishing property portfolio, financial success and personal achievements in the private-rented sector, Sandra Widdrington from Selby has been crowned NLA Yorkshire and The Humber Property Woman 2010 at the NLA’s prestigious Property Women Awards ceremony in Central London.
Despite the adversity of the current market place, Sandra was judged to have shown determination and a savvy business approach making her a cut above the rest. She initially entered the market with the sole aim of buying just one property to rent out as a way of supplementing her retirement fund, but she soon got the property bug and is now running her own letting and property management business which boasts hundreds of properties.
The awards were presented by property addict and TV presenter Melissa Porter, who had nothing but praise for Sandra’s success, “I’m a business woman myself, so I know it takes a lot of hard work and commitment to succeed - two qualities that Sandra has in abundance. The last year certainly hasn’t been easy for the property market, but in a way that makes celebrating the achievements of women like Sandra even sweeter!”
David Salusbury, Chairman, NLA, added: ”The outstanding achievements of our finalists never ceases to amaze me. The Awards highlight the professionalism and dedication of the women who operate in the private-rented sector. Sandra deserves to be proud of what she has achieved.”
